Introducing the AVAmax^® Vertebral Balloon

With the addition of our vertebral balloon, you can now perform kyphoplasty using the AVAmax^® Advanced Vertebral Augmentation system. With AVAmax, you now have the choice and flexibility to perform either kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty with the same delivery system.

One system, two procedures

The AVAmax Vertebral Balloon gives you expanded choice in vertebral augmentation. You can now perform kyphoplasty using the same advanced delivery system you use for vertebroplasty. Since our vertebral balloon is designed for use with both the AVAmax and AVAmax PLUS cement delivery systems, it gives you the flexibility to choose the right approach—without the inconvenience of changing your delivery system. Plus, the same cement preparation and delivery instruments are used for both vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty, so there's no need to learn and manage two different systems.

• Optimize visualization during procedure

  This unique vertebral balloon catheter contains a durable balloon that is filled with a contrast agent to aid with visualization when creating a void in the vertebral body.

• Ensure proper balloon placement

  The AVAmax Vertebral Balloon catheter features clearly defined marker bands on the shaft to help you identify proper advancement and placement of the balloon while in the access cannula and in the vertebral body.

• Monitor pressure levels

  A digital pressure monitor is conveniently located at the tip of the inflation syringe to help you monitor pressure levels. At the touch of a button, you can choose to view the balloon pressure in either atmospheres or PSI.

• Minimize waste

  Balloon access kits and inflation syringes are packaged single-sterile, minimizing waste and improving operational efficiency.
